Blue Iris Live View
for LG webOS TV
Effective date: 17 September 2026 — Developer: DGRC Consulting (dgrc.consulting)
The policy
What information the app handles.
Information stored on your device
To connect to your camera system, the app stores the following on your TV only (in the app's local storage):
- Blue Iris server address (e.g.
https://yourserver.example.com) - Blue Iris username and password
This information never leaves your device except to authenticate directly against your own Blue Iris server, over an encrypted HTTPS connection that the app requires. It is never sent to DGRC Consulting, LG, or any third party.
This information is removed when you uninstall the app or clear the app's data on the TV.
Note: Because credentials are stored locally, anyone with access to your TV and app could view your cameras. You are responsible for using a Blue Iris user account with only the permissions you want the TV to have.
Camera video
Live camera streams are fetched directly from your Blue Iris server to your TV. We — DGRC Consulting — never see, receive, route, or store any video, images, or camera data.
Video in transit is protected by the HTTPS connection to your own Blue Iris server.
Permissions and network access
The app uses the TV's network connection only to reach the server address you enter. It does not access the microphone, camera, storage, or any other device capabilities, and does not read data from other apps.
What we do with your data
No collection,
no sharing — directly.
Local, encrypted connection
Your data stays on your device and connects only to your own Blue Iris server. The connection is encrypted (HTTPS), so it's protected in transit.
No analytics, no tracking
The app contains no analytics SDKs, no tracking code, and no advertising. There's nothing we collect from your TV beyond what's needed to connect to your camera system.
No third-party services
We don't use any third-party services for the app. App distribution and updates are handled by the LG Content Store under LG's privacy policy.
Children's privacy
Not directed at children.
Who it's for
The app is not directed at children and collects no information from anyone under the age of 13.
No child data handling
We don't handle child data separately or under any additional framework. The app is designed for general adult use.
Changes to this policy
If it changes,
we update it.
What happens when we change
If the app changes in a way that affects privacy, this policy will be updated and re-dated. Any change will be described in the app's release notes.
